Georges Square is a unique urban situation, in that it is a sloping urban space at the centre of a major town.

 

The new Georges Square is an open and welcoming space with a minimum of obstructions, people are able to move be freely onto or across the space at will. This openness will provide views of the public buildings around Georges Square

 

A line of generous benches, under a canopy of semi mature trees, have been placed to benefit from sunlight from the south and west, and will give opportunities to linger in a sunny and attractive location.
